That 0.4 millisecond difference is down to how fast the DirectX pipeline can process and draw 3D data.

So let me see if I can follow this: OpenGL is faster than DirectX because...OpenGL is faster than DirectX?



OpenGL is faster than DirectX because the pipeline is shorter/faster/more efficient/etc. i.e. it's not due to texture copying, worse memory addressing, driver issues, programmer error, etc.
