We took 50k years to go from spoken language to written language. 4k years to go from written language to computers. Then 100 years for AI. Each of them was a huge jump in information technology. Maybe singularity is already here. We should see the next huge jump in 20-30 years at this rate. But then there's the trillion ton baby meme as well. We'll see what happens.
I recall shake/tilt was most useful in the sections of the field where rolling over a sensor would toggle a light, and lighting all three toggles yielded a prize.
There is one cluster at the top centre, and another in the left purple platform. The ball is moving slowly enough here that a nudge can send to one toggle or the other.
I bought this knowledge with my uni gpa, NO RAGRETS.
you are correct in what you say, but the other thing you need to do is hit the flippers, not to impact the ball but because they rotate the lights that are on and off (your goal being to light all three) so if you see the ball rolling toward an on-lite, rotate them till it's an off light. nudging the table is bit more useful to get repeated bounces off the bumpers near by
Possibly because it's easier to approximate the ball's position moving vs the table than simulating the table's position in space moving (which is what happens in real life with a nudge?) and the ball's trajectory not altering?
So I'm a bit embarrassed. I was going off my profiling work done 3 months ago when I was still having issues. I've been working a lot on optimization and hadn't done any proper non-headless profiling with high ship numbers since then. After seeing this your comment, I spent last night running some performance trials and the GPU rendering is down to 3ms even at a high number of ships. Any further slowdown is still coming from the physics step.
I unfortunately can't edit my comment anymore to correct what I wrote.
Jumped from medium to insane and didn't notice any difficulty bump. Were the puzzles designed by AI, eg arc agi puzzles are trivial for humans but very difficult for LLMs.
Strangely I also easily solve insane, then I try extreme. First I can solve with difficulty, second I almost gave up and it do need some whole board logic. Haven't tried third.
...chartered accountants whose job is to deal with the 100s of pages of jargon for you. LLMs are the like smartphones. They do everything so you don't need your ipod, flashlight, alarm clock, game console, computer, that handheld clicking counter thing, map, camera anymore. Llms will do that to a lot of professions.
